Some returns hit the mark. Anna Morit recently shared her thoughts after reading Le bonheur est gratuit. She managed to grasp what this book truly is: an investigation.
« In Le bonheur est gratuit, we follow, like a detective story, the author’s adventure in search of the Holy Grail. I was swept away by his setbacks as well as his successes. I admire the way the author managed to keep his direction in mind despite these shape-shifting wizards, learning IT, crossing forbidden oceans — all to prevent him from finding the Holy Grail. » Anna Morit
I am often asked whether the story is fiction or reality. The truth is, 600 years after Joan of Arc, the wizards have traded their old grimoires for keyboards: they are now learning to code. Facing today’s wizards while keeping the course towards the Grail remains a challenge for all of us. I am delighted to see that Anna felt this thrill of the investigation, this tension between technology trying to share what philosophers have not been able to resolve for centuries.
But the heart of the story is not there.
See you in September 2026 for the official release.
